<p>The city of Jerez has formally requested full membership in the CultureNext European Network. This action, which has been approved by the Local Government Board, is part of the strategy to promote the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture bid. The objective is to scale the project internationally and establish alliances with cultural stakeholders in cities across the continent that belong to the network.</p>
<p>CultureNext, founded in 2017, has 36 active members from 21 countries, 24 of whom are full members and 12 are observers, as was the case, until now, with the city of Jerez.</p>
<p>With this decision, the city aims to strengthen the #Jerez2031 candidacy process as a tool for implementing culture-driven urban development programs and policies that facilitate the exchange of experiences between cultural operators and artists.</p>
