<p>The Technical Office of the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture bid has been developing a specific work program this week with members of the Aarhus bid, the Danish city that held this distinction in 2017.<\/p><\/span><\/p>\n

<p>In this context, a working day was held at the headquarters of the #Jerez2031 Technical Office where Trini Bang, director of the Aarhus 2017 bid, presented the keys and legacy of a cultural project that transformed the city through several core ideas: Rethink Culture (with the aim of promoting new ways of producing, experiencing, and living culture and of putting culture to work). connecting contemporary art, experimental theater, and reinterpretations of heritage), Rethink Learning (through educational programs based on art and cultural participation with community workshops, in schools, and in think tanks), Rethink Sustainability (conceiving culture as a driver of environmental and social sustainability), and Rethink Democracy (promoting citizen participation, inclusion, and diversity).<\/p><\/span><\/p>\n

<p>Through an innovative and ambitious cultural project that actively involved 19 municipalities, Aarhus, Denmark’s second most populous city, fostered an important legacy beyond 2017, gaining international visibility as a cultural destination, increasing tourism and investment in culture, strengthening local and regional identity, and inspiring new models of collaboration between art, citizens, and government.<\/p><\/span><\/p>\n
