Jerez’s bid to be European Capital of Culture in 2031 is not just for the city. It’s for the entire province. For this reason, and as part of this process of strengthening and establishing alliances with entities throughout the province, the agreement signed by the Consortium of Cádiz Free Zone (Zona Franca de Cádiz) formally supports the bid. This new institutional support reinforces the project initiated by Jerez City Council together with the entities that make up the Governing Council: the Cádiz Provincial Council, the University of Cádiz, and the Jerez Chamber of Commerce.
