Cultural professionals and managers participate in the conference “Culture: A Dynamic Axis of the City and Business”

<p>Financial, material, and technological resources, time, and human talent are never available in unlimited quantities. For this reason, planning, training, and experience are especially useful for efficient cultural management in the service of business and entrepreneurial projects. Furthermore, within the framework of the definition of #Jerez’s candidacy for the European Capital of Culture 2031.</p>

<p>In this context, and with the aim of highlighting the possibilities offered by cultural management as a business activity, Jerez hosted the conference “Culture: A Dynamic Axis of the City and Business,” organized by the Department of Employment, Self-Employment, Commerce, and Business of the Jerez City Council.</p>

<p>The event, which included presentations and roundtable discussions with industry professionals, included the following conferences: “The Management of Innovative Cultural Spaces as a Dynamic Factor, Both Cultural and Economic” (Macarena Osorno López, Director of Cartuja Center CITE), “Cultural Projects, Festival Management, and Theater Companies. Management from the Private Sector” (José Lucas Chaves Maza, Territorial Director of SGAE Andalusia, Ceuta, and Melilla), and “Culture as a City’s Driving Force” (Federico Jaime, Director of Cultural Programming at the Institute of Culture and the Arts of Seville).</p>

<p>The program also featured roundtables on local cultural initiatives and experiences, with the participation of representatives from the winery sector (Manuel Marín Gil, Bodegas Tradición), the performing arts (Alberto Puyol Márquez, TEJ Teatro), and the visual arts (Fernando Quirós, painter of color and joy).</p>
