Citizen participation is the true driving force behind the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture bid. From the very beginning, citizen involvement has been a priority in our strategy.

In recent months, we have intensified our participatory activities with the aim of addressing the demands, expectations, and potential of all sectors. Through participation, dialogue, and listening, we can refine the concept of the bid, provide the #Jerez2031 cultural program with ideas, content, and proposals, and foster spaces for reflection, collaboration, and cultural co-creation.

Between July and October, the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidacy successfully completed the central phase of its participatory process with the Ágoras Ideas Lab and the Ágoras Projects Lab. These citizen co-creation labs reflect the bid’s strategy and our goal of building a cultural program that involves everyone.

Our thanks to the hundred cultural, educational, and social stakeholders in the province of Cádiz who have been involved in this process and whose contributions, ideas, and projects have strengthened our bid’s cultural program with more than 80 proposals. Jerez is CULTURE. You are CAPITAL.
