Cultural, social, and educational stakeholders from the province exchange their proposals at the #Jerez2031 Ágoras Projects Lab

The #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidacy is built from the bottom up through citizen participation. This is the objective of an intense participatory process that entered a crucial phase today with the start of the Ágoras Projects Lab, where a hundred cultural, social, and educational stakeholders from across the province have the opportunity to exchange their proposals for potential inclusion in the bid’s cultural program.

Thus, the Ágoras Projects Lab, which resumes the work of the Ágoras Ideas Lab held last July and will take place between today and next Thursday in the Multipurpose Building of the Jerez Campus of the University of Cádiz, are conceived as dynamic, interactive, and co-creation spaces for the presentation, discussion, and exchange of projects in four distinct areas: music, territory, visual, and transversal. The first session held this afternoon focused on the area of musical projects.

With the development of this second phase of participatory agoras, the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidacy aims to find projects that contribute to shaping its cultural program through dialogue, encounter, and debate.

As a whole, the #Jerez2031 agoras constitute a network of exchange spaces with the aim of working consecutively in two laboratories: Ideas Lab and Projects Lab. A participatory process that will allow proposals to be provided for the different programming lines included in the bid book. This document must be submitted by the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidate by the end of next December.
