Jerez 2031 strengthens the international dimension of its bid in Poland with its participation in the 15th Culture Next Conference

The meeting of European cities addresses the relationship between culture, arts, and well-being, presenting best practices in citizen participation

The bid for Jerez 2031, European Capital of Culture, continues to strengthen its international reach with its participation in the 15th Culture Next Conference, taking place from October 15 to 17 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. The presence of a Jerez 2031 delegation at this international forum underscores the Spanish city’s commitment to transnational collaboration and creation.

Under the theme “Culture, Arts, and Well-being – Best Practices in Citizen Participation,” the 15th Culture Next Conference brings together representatives from 40 European cities to share experiences and discuss cultural innovation.

Jerez 2031’s participation in the conference will allow for the exchange of knowledge on how to use culture and art to combat loneliness, promote inclusion, and improve citizens’ quality of life, drawing inspiration from the experience of cities such as Bielsko-Biała, the Polish Capital of Culture 2026.

Furthermore, it will serve to strengthen contacts and synergies with other cultural networks and cities aspiring to or winning the European title, strengthening Jerez’s global positioning. With this international presence, Jerez 2031 reaffirms its commitment to culture as a driver of transformation and its vocation as an active and relevant partner in the European cultural ecosystem.

It is worth remembering that Culture Next is a network that brings together European cities and regions that have been, are currently, or aspire to be European Capital of Culture. Its main mission is to foster collaboration, share best practices in cultural management, innovation, and urban development through culture, and promote a shared vision of the vital role of culture in Europe.
