The natural territory of culture in Jerez is the street. Thousands of people will enjoy the extensive cultural program of La Noche Azul y Blanca and the Hispanidad Fair this weekend, featuring dozens of activities including dance, live music, art exhibitions, street markets, gastronomy, and fashion shows.
On the one hand, organized by Jerez City Council and in collaboration with numerous civic organizations, this Saturday will feature the many activities of La Noche Azul y Blanca (Blue and White Night). Between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM, the events will take place in a large part of the city center streets (Calle Larga, Plaza del Banco, Calle Doña Blanca, Plaza del Arenal, Plaza de la Asunción, Plaza Plateros, Plaza Rafael Rivero, and Alameda Vieja), with street music and dance performances, fashion shows, show cooking (live cooking with local products), as well as a Street Market for fashion and accessories with the participation of various local businesses.
At the same time, between 12:00 and 24:00 on Sunday, October 12th, the Alma Hispana Fair will be held in the Alameda Vieja. Organized by Jerez City Council in coordination with various social groups, the event will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Day with musical and folklore performances from Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, and Colombia, as well as tents featuring traditional cuisine from countries such as Peru, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil, among other activities.
As part of its citizen engagement strategy, the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidacy will have an information stand where various videos about the bid will be shown, and attendees will have the opportunity to individually support this project by signing the Manifesto of Adhsion.
