Jerez’s future vision is to continue promoting cultural talent and innovation as the basis for a sustainable transformation of the city through culture. To this end, the 2025 Generarte Awards ceremony was held today. This is an initiative of the Jerez City Council in collaboration with the Cádiz Business Confederation (CEC), part of the Jerez Inspira project and aligned with the candidacy process for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2031.
The Generarte Awards are part of the comprehensive cultural program in preparation for Jerez’s bid to be European Capital of Culture 2031. This process, from the outset, seeks to engage the sector, identify ideas, and explore proposals from cultural stakeholders in collaboration with local entities.
The 2025 Generarte Awards recognize creativity, innovation, social impact, sustainability, and growth potential within the local cultural and creative sector. In total, six awards were given: three in the Innovative Cultural Ideas category and three in the Innovative Cultural Projects category, to proposals with a strong cultural impact and the potential to generate economic and social development. Each category includes a first prize of €1,500, a second prize of €1,000, and a third prize of €500.
