<p>The Cloisters of Santo Domingo hosted today the solemn presentation of the City’s Gold Medal to the Royal Academy of San Dionisio of Sciences, Arts and Letters for its 75 years of service to the city’s culture and the values it treasures, which coincide with the values of the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidacy.</p>
<p>The event, which was presided over by the city’s mayor, María José García Pelayo, and attended by the Extraordinary Plenary Session, was attended by San Dionisio academics, as well as family members and representatives of various cultural and social entities from the city and from academies in the province and Andalusia.</p>
<p>In the opinion of the city’s mayor, if we are facing the great challenge of #Jerez2031 as European Capital of Culture today, it is thanks to institutions like the Academy that have motivated us and shown us the way.</p>
