#Jerez2031 brings together the province’s mayors tomorrow to contribute projects to the European Capital of Culture bid

The official event will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Viña Canariera in González Byass and will focus on incorporating projects from all the province’s municipalities for integration into the bid’s cultural program.

Jerez will host a key meeting tomorrow, Friday, with the mayors of the municipalities in the province of Cádiz, as well as representatives of the rural area of ​​Jerez, with the aim of strengthening the institutional alliance around the joint bid of the province of Cádiz for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2031.

The event will be chaired by the institutions that form part of the bid’s Steering Council: the Mayor of Jerez, María José García-Pelayo; the president of the Cádiz Provincial Council, Almudena Martínez del Junco; the rector of the University of Cádiz, Casimiro Mantell; and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Javier Sánchez Rojas.

In addition, the Technical Office of the bid will present the work carried out to date and outline the roadmap planned for the coming months, detailing how each municipality can add activities to the joint project.

More than one hundred institutional representatives have confirmed their attendance at this event, which represents a new step in the shared commitment of Cádiz institutions to the joint bid, a project that seeks not only to designate Jerez as the European Capital of Culture in 2031, but also to generate a positive and sustainable impact on the cultural, social, and economic future of the entire province and its area of ​​influence.
