#Jerez2031 develops a work program with Liverpool 2008 to establish future alliances and joint cultural programs

<p>The Technical Office of #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture has organized a program of working sessions with Neil Peterson, head of the successful Liverpool 2008 participatory process, with the aim of establishing connections, avenues for collaboration, and future alliances that will translate into joint cultural programs that stimulate participation, co-creation, and the dissemination of European values.</p>

<p>In this regard, various meetings with municipal officials, visits to the city’s cultural infrastructure, and a double-day workshop at the headquarters of the #Jerez2031 Technical Office are being held between Thursday and Friday of this week. The event will explore the key factors that enabled Liverpool to achieve the title of European City of Culture in 2008, address the most innovative and transformative aspects of its cultural program and participatory process, and assess future alliances between the two cities that promote spaces for cultural participation and co-creation.</p>

<p>Neil Peterson is director of the Inside Track network of international experts advising cities on cultural transformation processes linked to major events. He has been part of the management team that led the cultural transformation of the English city, has participated in more than a dozen successful bids, and is a visiting professor at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences (Austria), where he teaches cultural management and public policy.</p>
