The Ágoras Projects Lab addresses more than 80 projects for potential inclusion in the #Jerez2031 cultural program

The #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidacy successfully completed the central phase of its participatory process with the holding of the Ágoras Projects Lab last week. These dynamic co-creation spaces saw the active participation of more than fifty cultural, social, and educational stakeholders from across the province of Cádiz, who thus presented and shared more than 80 specific projects for inclusion in the bid’s cultural program.

In this way, #Jerez2031 continues to build its bid process from the bottom up, making citizen participation the leitmotif of its work dynamics. This was precisely the objective of this essential phase of the participatory process, which culminated in the holding of the Ágoras Projects Lab as co-creation spaces for proposing and exchanging concrete proposals in different areas: music, territory, visual arts, and cross-disciplinary work.

The Ágoras Projects Lab resumed the work of the Ágoras Ideas Lab held last July and took place between Monday and Thursday of last week in various collaborative spaces in the Multipurpose Building on the Jerez Campus of the University of Cádiz.

As a whole, the #Jerez2031 agoras formed a network of exchange spaces with the aim of working consecutively in two laboratories: Ideas Lab and Projects Lab. A participatory process that, through co-creation, allowed for the identification of citizen proposals for inclusion in the different programming lines of the bid book.
