The Cádiz Business Confederation commits to #Jerez2031 by organizing a series of workshops on local development and culture

The Cádiz Business Confederation (CEC) is holding a series of workshops today in the city of Jerez on “Strategies for Promoting Local Development: A Look at Culture.” These workshops, within the framework of the Provincial Council’s DipuInnova+ Program, aim to provide a space for analysis and action to address the challenges and opportunities of local development.

Held in the new “Culture and Business Chamber” coworking space, the workshops emphasized the role of culture as a transformative axis of municipal action and commitment, reflecting the commitment of the city and all its institutions to culture and to a dynamic candidacy project.

In this sense, #Jerez2031 has been working on the conviction of the value of culture as an industry to contribute to the consolidation of a strong cultural ecosystem in the city, which, combined with the participatory process, strengthens the candidacy process.

Through renowned experts in municipal management and territorial policies, attendees explored strategies to boost economic and social growth in their regions. The session began with the opening lecture “How to act to boost territorial development” by Alain Jordà, an expert in Local Development. This was followed by a presentation entitled “Culture, its keys and effects on municipal development” by Antonio Javier González Rueda of the University of Cádiz.
