The Governing Council of the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture Bid held another meeting this morning to consolidate the project’s governance and review the actions carried out over the past few months since the Technical Office was launched, reinvigorating the participatory process and defining the cultural purpose and program.

During the meeting, which took place at City Hall and was attended by representatives of the entities comprising this body (Jerez City Council, the University of Cádiz, the Provincial Council, and the Jerez Chamber of Commerce), the importance of the collective commitment of the institutions comprising the Governing Council was once again highlighted, “a key factor in building a cultural and transformative project, both for Jerez and for the entire province.”

Furthermore, this session of the #Jerez2031 Governing Council served to strengthen coordination mechanisms and the planning of collaborative actions with provincial cultural stakeholders, as well as with European cities of culture. At the same time, various issues were addressed, such as the presentation of the Artificial Intelligence Platform by Controlnet Web, promoted jointly with the City’s Social Council, as well as the review of the actions carried out by the #Jerez2031 Technical Office and the planning of upcoming initiatives that will mark the roadmap towards the European title.

Over the next six months, the #Jerez2031 bid will intensify dialogue and collaboration with citizens and the province’s various cultural sectors, organizing a series of meetings and participatory activities to continue co-creating an inclusive, diverse bid project that represents the province’s cultural identity.
