<p>The Technical Office of the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture bid held a focused working session today to learn about the key aspects that led San Sebastián to achieve the distinction of European City of Culture in 2016. During the meeting, which was attended by Imanol Galdós, Deputy Director of Donostia Kultura, the content and thematic axes of the cultural program and the legacy of Donostia beyond 2016 were analyzed.</p>
<p>During the working day, which took place at the headquarters of the #Jerez2031 Technical Office, information and documentation were shared on the activities carried out around the celebration of San Sebastián as European Capital of Culture 2016. The need to involve the Through a permanent process of active listening, the importance of culture in reaffirming the values of the European project has been highlighted, as well as the importance of responsibly managing the legacy of the candidacy beyond the year of celebration through intergenerational dialogue.</p>
<p>At the same time, the possibility of strengthening ties and establishing alliances between the cultural programs of both cities has been considered: San Sebastián, which was European Capital of Culture in 2016, and Jerez, which aspires to be so in 2031.</p>
