<p>The Mayor of York (Pennsylvania), Michael Helfrich, is currently in the city of Jerez to support the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture bid. His visit is the result of strengthening institutional relations during the events held to mark the 40th anniversary of the twinning with the French town of Arles.</p>
<p>Municipal representatives from other cities, including Fulda (Germany), Wisbech (United Kingdom), Vercelli (Italy), and Kalymnos (Greece), in addition to York and Jerez, participated in the event. The members of the Jerez delegation aimed to disseminate and gather support for the #Jerez2031 bid among them.</p>
<p>Both the European representatives and the mayor of the American city agreed at the meeting in Arles to support Jerez in this important project and to strengthen ties by fostering a relationship of friendship.</p>
<p>In this context of support for Jerez 2031, European Capital of Culture, Michael Helfrich visited the city. In addition to touring the Alcázar Monumental Complex, he visited the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and enjoyed other unique attractions in the city.</p>
