The Provincial Culture Foundation strengthens the provincial dimension of the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture bid

<p>The #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidacy continues to advance its strategy to provide defined content for a cultural program that will be the result of an intense participatory process with the cultural, creative, and heritage sectors of the city and the province. A collaborative strategy that will enter a new phase on July 2nd with the celebration of the Jerez 2031 Forum.</p>

<p>With the aim of strengthening the provincial dimension of the bid, the #Jerez2031 Technical Office and the Provincial Culture Foundation held a working meeting today at Jerez City Hall, together with the municipal technical team and technical assistance. The meeting aims to promote the active involvement of the province’s cultural, heritage, and creative sectors in the participation strategy and in the coordination of the bid’s cultural program.</p>

<p>#Jerez2031 has emphasized the special importance of the Provincial Foundation of Culture’s involvement, with the aim of intensifying communication and collaboration with the province’s cultural ecosystem so that those sectors most closely connected and interested can participate in the search for ideas and the development of cultural projects that align with the bid’s purpose.</p>

<p>In this context, the director of the Provincial Culture Foundation, Mariló Román Hernández, has expressed her commitment to collaborating on the lines of action established as strategic through #Jerez2031 and offers herself as a vehicle for dissemination and connection with the province’s cultural stakeholders so that they can be involved in the participatory process of the candidacy.</p>

<p>The Provincial Culture Foundation is an autonomous body dependent on the Department of Citizen Development of the Cádiz Provincial Council. It operates with various programs to, among other objectives, provide cultural services to all municipalities with up to 50,000 inhabitants in the province, promote artistic creation among different groups such as children and young people, reduce the gender gap among artists, and more.</p>
