Young people are an essential pillar for the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture bid. For this reason, the participation strategy has included a specific space for them to contribute their ideas and projects to a cultural program that is strengthened by their talent. This space for dialogue and meeting with young people from across the province took place today with the Youth Ideas Lab Agora.
In this way, the observations, ideas, and projects of young people are key to shaping a cultural program built on the participation of all the province’s cultural, creative, and heritage sectors.
Furthermore, three new sessions of the Ideas Lab Cultural Agora will take place this Tuesday and Wednesday. The Technical Office of the candidacy has decided to expand its sessions in order to facilitate the effective participation of interested parties, given the high number of registrations. The proposals most aligned with the candidacy’s purpose will be selected to participate in the Ágoras Projects Lab scheduled for the first half of next September.
The agoras represent a second level of work following the holding of the Jerez 2031 Forum on July 2nd. These are specialized spaces for exchange and dialogue with the goal of working consecutively in two laboratories: Ideas Lab (first) and Projects Lab (next). Once the first part of the process is completed with the holding of the Ideas Lab, the Social, Educational, Cultural, and Youth Project Lab agoras will be held. Based on the contributions received, the contents, activities, and projects will be defined and aligned with the different programming lines that will be included in the bid book for submission at the end of next December.
