Businesses in Jerez join the “You are CAPITAL” campaign of the 2031 European Capital of Culture bid

#Jerez2031 wants to be present in every corner of the city so that all citizens feel the pulse of a bid to become European Capital of Culture that aims to transform the city and the province. For this reason, and coinciding with the peak of the Christmas season, businesses and restaurants in the city will be showing window decals and counter displays to reinforce the “Jerez is Culture. You are CAPITAL” campaign, launched a few months ago.

In this context, the Technical Office of #Jerez2031, in collaboration with the Trade and Consumer Service of the Delegation of Education, Vocational Training, Universities, Employment, Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Jerez City Council, has launched the second phase of “Jerez is Culture. You are CAPITAL” in the middle of the Christmas campaign. This initiative has also garnered the support and participation of various representative associations in the city’s business sector: Centro Comercial Abierto Jerez (ACOJE), Asociación Unión de Comerciantes de Jerez (ASUNICO), Asociación de Empresarios y Comerciantes de la zona Sur (ADECOSUR), Asociación de Comerciantes del Parque Atlántico (ACAT), Federación de Hostelería de Cádiz (HORECA) y Asociación Empresarial de Hostelería de Jerez.

In this way, #Jerez2031 has designed and distributed hundreds of adhesive vinyl window decals and dozens of methacrylate displays for counters. The aim is that, through simple QR codes, both Jerez residents and visitors can show their support for the bid and increase the online community by gaining followers on social media profiles: Instagram, X, and Facebook.

This action is part of the campaign “Jerez is Culture. You are Capital” which has been visible for a few months on billboards and bus stops in the city and has been designed with the aim of strengthening the visibility of Jerez’s candidacy to be European Capital of Culture in 2031 and reinforcing interaction with citizens.
