The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, learned today about the general outlines of the proposal for the #Jerez2031 European Capital of Culture candidacy during a meeting held at the Chamber’s offices with the Mayor of Jerez, María José García-Pelayo.

These proposals were shared and discussed by the more than 50 cultural, social, and educational stakeholders who participated in these co-creation spaces.

Dozens of free cultural activities are planned for the public to access, participate in, and enjoy culture. #Jerez2031 will have an information stand.

This new exhibition space reflects how private and citizen initiative is key to strengthening the city’s cultural facilities.
